Pamela Alviar is a Colombian native residing in Queens, New York. Her early training began with Elliot Feld’s School and Company Ballet Tech, where she studied Classical Ballet. She graduated with a BFA in Dance at S.U.N.Y. Purchase College, where she is studied in Ballet, Modern, and Composition. Ms. Alviar has performed in works by George Balanchine, Elliot Feld, Bill T. Jones, and Kenneth MacMillian. She has also worked with choreographers such as Francesca Harper, Betti-Jane Sills, Troy Powell, and Kevin Wynn. Her repertoire includes Nutcracker, Meshugana, Apple Pie, Patootie, Endsong, Half Time, Mandance choreographed by Elliot Feld. Four Temperaments choreographed by Kenneth MacMillian. Ms. Alviar has been a guest artist in Mexico City, Mexico for the Competition Interdanza and for Sawnee Ballet’s Nutcracker in Cumming, Georgia. She has also appeared in Dance Magazine, Dance Teacher Magazine and the book First Lessons by Lise Friedman.

Megan Coleman is from Michigan, where she trained with Samantha Shelton, Sherry Jerome, Christina Kammuller, and Toledo Ballet. She spent seven summers training with American Ballet Theatre Detroit Summer Intensive, as well as summers with Joffrey Midwest and on scholarship with Ballet Met. While attending Eastern Michigan University on a dance scholarship, under the guidance of Sherry Jerome, Megan won the Mid-Michigan National Society of Arts and Letters Career Award and went on to represent Michigan at the national level. At EMU she performed lead roles such as Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Aurora in the Sleeping Beauty, Firebird in The Firebird and many contemporary works. After dancing with The Detroit Opera House Civic Ensemble, under the direction of Samantha Shelton and Michael Anderson, she began her professional career with Ballet Theatre of Ohio. While with BTO she danced the roles of Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, and Arabian Princess in The Nutcracker, Wicked Witch of the West in BTO’s premiere of The Wizard of Oz, and Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty. Megan would like to thank her parents for their never-ending love and support and is very excited to be starting her first season with Lexington Ballet.

Shauna Cook is originally from Adrian, MI. She studied under the direction of Nigel Burgoine at the Ballet Theatre of Toledo. At the age of sixteen she continued her training in the Pre-Professional Division at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Shauna has attended summer intensives at BalletMet, Ballet Magnificat!, American Ballet Theatre, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. She has danced in productions such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Giselle, and Nigel Burgoine's new ballet Aladdin. Shauna is very excited to start her professional career at the Lexington Ballet. She would like to thank the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's staff for helping her grow as a dancer and her parents for there ongoing support.

Jayson Douglas is from Paterson, New Jersey, and comes to us most recently from touring internationally as an arialist/dancer for RCCL productions and David Taylor Dance Theatre. He trained on full talent scholarships at Boston Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theatre, Orlando Ballet, Steps NYC, Burklyn Ballet Theatre and Point Park University. He has prevouisly danced with Ballet Memphis, Ballet Nouveau Colorado, Ballet Quad Cities, Illinois Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theatre,Oxford Ballet, and Ballet Theater of Maryland. Featured roles include Prince in Cinderella, Jester in Swan Lake, and Snow King in Nutcracker. In addition to his performing career, Mr. Douglas is an aspiring choreographer, and has set ballets on Burklyn Ballet Theatre and Illinois Ballet.

Ayako Hasebe, originally from Saitama, Japan, began her training at
Van Metre School of Dance in Tennessee and continued at Koshizuka Natsuko
Ballet School in Japan. She recently graduated from Butler University where she
attained her Bachelors of Fine Arts with honors. During her time at Butler, she
had an opportunity to attend the Vaganova Seminar in St. Petersburg, Russia
where she studied with Nikita Dolgushin and other renowned professors from
Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory. Most recently in 2009, she performed in Serenade by George Balanchine and in Cinderella as a summer fairy soloist. Ayako is thrilled to
dance with the company for its second season and would like to thank her
teachers, colleagues, friends, and her family for their guidance and continuous
support.

Alexandra Ignatius received her ballet training from the Washington School of
Ballet in Washington, DC where she studied under the direction of Victoria
Leigh, Rebecca Wright, and Roudolf Kharatian. She performed with the company in
the Nutcracker

Evan Pitts is originally from Jacksonville, Florida. He began his training under the
direction of Christina McDonald, of Fascinatin' Rhythm Studio of Dance, at age
eight. He developed a love for the stage at a young age when he was given the
opportunity to perform with the Moving Company Dance Troupe, also based out of
Jacksonville. After winning multiple awards and Best Senior Soloist awards for
jazz and hip hop performances, Evan discovered his true passion, ballet. He
shared his talents with the community by performing for nine years in the community
Nutcracker, which benefits local charities. He continued his training with
ballet mistress Rhonda Stampalia and Dr. Phyllis Penney at Douglas Anderson
School of the Arts for three years. In 2009, after given the opportunity to
work with Adam Sage and Robert Philander from Missouri Ballet Theatre, he moved
to St. Louis as a full time member of the company. Evan is very excited to
become a company member of Lexington Ballet this year. A special thank you goes
out to his parents, sister, and especially his niece “Doodle Bugs” for their
continuing love and support.

Lauren Tenney was born in Toledo, OH, and began her training at the Toledo Ballet School under the direction of Nigel Burgoine. Under the guidance of her teacher and coach Edward Ellison, Lauren was awarded the bronze medal (contemporary category) and top 12 (classical category) at the Youth American Grand Prix 2008 semi finals in Torrington, Connecticut. Lauren also received the Donna Neri Award while at Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts and was also invited to attend the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, (Moscow, Russia) for the graduating class 2007-2008 school year. Ms. Tenney is very glad to be starting her professional career with the Lexington Ballet Company and thanks all of those who have helped make her dreams come true thus far, especially her former director and coach Edward Ellison, and her parents Angela and John Tenney for the constant and continuous support.

Ashley Wilcock has trained at the Miami City Ballet School where she danced roles in Balanchine's Serenade, Stars and Stripes, Raymonda Variations, The Nutcracker, Western Symphony, as well as Petipa's Paquita. She then moved on to dance at Pacific North WestBallet in the Professional Division under Kent Stowell, Francia Russel and Peter Boal. There, she performed with the company in The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty as well as Professional Division performances in Serenade, Conservatoryette and original works. She also attended summer intensive courses at School of American Ballet, North Carolina School of the Arts, Ballet Austin, Milwaukee Ballet, The Kirov Academy, Kansas City Ballet, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet and the Rock School. More recently Ashley has been a Milwaukee Ballet II member. Ashley then apprenticed at Sarasota Ballet before going abroad to dance in London. She is very excited about the upcoming season and to have the opportunity to work with such a dynamic choreographer as Luis Dominguez.

APPRENTICES

Brittany Butler, originally from Pennsville, New Jersey,
began her training at the Academy of the Dance, and then graduated from North
Carolina School of the Arts. Brittany has been fortunate to dance for Orlando Ballet's
second company and Missouri Ballet Theatre's premier season. She has played the
role of the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, and repertoire from various artists. Brittany has
had the opportunity to train with Bruce Marks, Adam Sage, Robert Philander,
Dayna Fox and Luis Dominiguez. She is honored to be in her first season with
the Lexington Ballet.

Anna Craig comes to Lexington from her hometown, Warner Robins, Georgia. At the age of 16, she began her ballet training at the International City School of Ballet with director Georne Aucon. She has also had the opportunity to work with such renowned teachers as Laura Alonso, Alexandra Keltun, Barbara Pontecorvo, Chris Fairbanks, Martha Goodman, Julie Ricketts, and Barbara Long. At 18, Anna accepted a position with the Charleston Ballet Theatre where she remained for two seasons. Her stage repertoire includes Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Seven Deadly Sins, The Great Gatsby, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and many more. She is excited for this newest opportunity with the Lexington Ballet, with many thanks to Georne Aucom and her family for their never-ending support.

Tina Poe, originally
from the Washington, DC area, received her training at the National
Ballet under the direction of Pamela and
Helen Moore and at the America Dance Institute, under Michael and Pamela Bjerknes. She has
attended summer programs at Atlanta Ballet, Kansas City Ballet,
Alberta Ballet, as well as the Cecchetti
International Summer Program. Cristina continued her dance training at Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA, graduating Cum Laude in 2008 with
a B.A. in Dance and Business with a concentration in Marketing. Cristina
has danced professionally with the National Ballet, Bowen McCauley
Dance and The Lake Erie Ballet. |

Kerstin Stayton is
originally from Illinois. She
began her early training with Mary Price Boday of Illinois Ballet and Deanna
Doty of Champaign Urbana Ballet. Kerstin
received scholarships to attend summer intensives at American Ballet Theater,
Harid Conservatory, Kirov and Joffrey.
At age 15, she continued her training at North Carolina School of the
Arts under Melissa Hayden, Fanchon Cordell, Kee Juan Han, Christine Spizzo and
Dayna Fox. As a scholarship
student, Kerstin received her bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Ballet Performance
from the University of Oklahoma, graduating in 3 years with distinction. Kerstin has danced roles such as: Clara
in The Nutcracker, Doll and Rose Queen from The Nutcracker, Pas de trios from
Paquita, Princess Elena in The Firebird, Odalisque from Le Corsaire,
Divertimento No. 15, Les Patineurs, and a new work, Elegie. Kerstin is delighted to begin her first
season with the Lexington Ballet.
