Dinner, Drinks, and Dance benefiting The Lexington Ballet on Thursday, September 4 and Friday, September 5, 2008

Fabric of Dance 3D is a powerful dance event that brings to Lexington some of the best classically trained dancers from the most renowned companies across the USA. This year’s program will feature an up beat performance showcasing  a repertoire of  avant garde and cutting edge works of some of today's top contemporary choreographers you can't afford to miss it! Artistic Director Luis Dominguez has created, through the Fabric series, a signature program that celebrates diversity in dance, which is sure to excite and entertain the most discerning audiences. 

 

Peter and The Wolf

The Lexington Ballet is partnering once again with The Lexington Philharmonic for an afternoon performance of Peter and The Wolf at The Singletary Center for the Arts on October 26 at 3 pm.

At the Lexington Opera House - Friday, December 12 and 19 at 8 pm; Saturday, December 13 and 20 at 2pm and 8 pm; and Sunday matinee, December 14 and 21, 2008 at 2pm.

 

The Nutcracker is a timeless, holiday classic and renown ballet that has entertained audiences for over a century.  Once again, The Lexington Ballet will perform this beloved and cherished fairytale.  The production will feature internationally renown dancers from American Ballet Theatre. This event will be performed at the historic and newly renovated Lexington Opera House.

 

 

Dance Theatre of Harlem Ensemble & Lexington Ballet Collaboration

Widely acclaimed as a major cultural institution encompassing a world-class ballet company and an accredited school of dance, the Dance Theatre of Harlem was founded in 1969 by Arthur Mitchell and Karel Shook. Dance Theatre of Harlem was considered “one of ballet’s most exciting undertakings” (The New York Times, 1971). Now in its fourth decade, Dance Theatre of Harlem has grown into a multi-cultural dance institution with an extraordinary legacy of providing opportunities for creative expression and artistic excellence that continues to set standards in the performing arts. Dance Theatre of Harlem Ensemble and Lexington Ballet Bring to the Opera House a one night performance you won't want to miss!

 

Tales of Beatrix Potter

On Saturday March 21 at 2 pm and 7 pm, The Lexington Ballet is excited to perform Tales of Beatrix Potter an original ballet created by artistic director, Luis Dominguez, inspired by the works of Beatrix Potter. A program that combines dance performance with the classic stories that you know and love. The Lexington Drum choir partners with the Lexington Ballet for a performance suited for dance enthusiasts of all ages.
